If you are a CORE Member, your accounts have been converted over to CFCU's Operating Systems!

Now you have access to CFCU’s enhanced Online and Mobile Banking, our dedicated call center, online loan application and approval process, and Apple and Google Pay. Along with these great tools, our products and services are designed to help you save money, earn more money, and make your financial life easier.

About This Web Page

This web page is provided to make the conversion to CFCU’s systems as seamless as possible. It contains important information you need to know about the conversion. This web page will be updated with more information throughout the process as needed.

KEY INFORMATION

    *Important Updates*

        • Read below about changes to CORE Credit Cards
        • Most Debit Card Transactions During Conversion weekend (January 27th – January 30th) have posted; however, some transactions are pending. The delay is due to a special allowance made to keep CORE debit cards working during the conversion process.
        • Home Equity Lines of Credit, Simply Credit, Core Student Loan Lines of Credit and Core Student Loan Repayment (College Cash) Loans will no longer be included on your monthly account statement; you will receive a separate loan billing statement.
        • Reminder that your 1099 dividend includes the special merger dividend credited to your share #1 savings account on May 10, 2022. 
        • CFCU is part of three ATM networks that provide over 85,000 surcharge-free ATMs worldwide. Click HERE for the locator map to find your nearest surcharge-free ATM or look for the Allpoint, CO-OP, or MoneyTree Network logo sticker on the ATM.

        *Please note that mobile check deposits are subject to review. In general, deposits up to $5,000 per day will be available within one business day. In general, deposits in excess of $5,000 per day will be available within four business days. Funds may be held for longer periods at our discretion. See our Mobile Deposit User Agreement for full details. Agreement is viewable within your Digital Banking access, once logged in, select profile and then "Accepted Disclosures", or upon request.

    Credit Cards

     
    ACTION REQUIRED BEFORE AUGUST 1, 2023

    As part of our conversion of systems from CORE FCU to CFCU, your CORE Credit Card will be closed on 8/1/2023. We are offering a special promotion to transfer to a CFCU Rewards Credit Card before 8/1/2023.

    The promotion includes:

    • Low 5.99% Promotional APR for balance transfer of your existing CORE Credit Card balance for 24 months!  
    • No balance transfer fee for the transfer of your existing CORE Credit Card! 
    • 5,000 bonus rewards points! 
    • 5,000 additional bonus rewards points!*  
    • 1,000 additional bonus rewards points when you make your first purchase!* 

     That’s 11,000 bonus rewards points! 11,000 points = $110.00 

    *To be eligible for additional bonus rewards points, card must be opened and first purchase must occur by July 31, 2023. 

     

    If you transfer to a CFCU Rewards Credit Card:
    • The balance of your CORE Credit Card will be transferred to the new card. 
    • Your credit limit will remain the same as it is today. Unless you request and get approved to increase your limit. 
    • You can elect to visit a branch to obtain your new card or have it mailed to you. 
    • Existing rewards points on your CORE Credit Card will be transferred to your CFCU Rewards Credit Card. 
    • The rate for future transactions will be determined by your current credit score. 

     

    If you already converted to a CFCU Rewards Credit Card:

    If you do not convert to a CFCU Rewards Credit Card:

    You will be responsible for continuing to make payments to your CORE Credit Card until the balance is paid. Please note that any remaining rewards points on your CORE Credit Card must be redeemed by 7/31/23 or will be forfeited. 

    If you have a balance, you can continue to pay your credit card(s) by check, through the CORE Credit app, or Credit Card Portal online. You can find the CORE Credit Card Portal Link here.

    The link to the CORE Credit Card Portal will also live in our main navigation, under 'Personal' and 'Resources'

    Your Debit Card(s)

    Your debit card with CORE will no longer work, you can now activate your CFCU debit card that you should have received in the mail in early January. In order to activate your new card, call the activation number sticker on your card from the phone number you have on file with us. When you activate your card, you will also be asked to set up your PIN number.

    Online/Digital Banking

    You no longer have access to CORE's Digital Banking. You can now register for CFCU’s Digital Banking to view your accounts, make transfers, pay bills, deposit checks, and more at anytime from anywhere.

    To register, you will need your Social Security Number (SSN), or Tax Identification Number (TIN) and your savings or checking account number.

     

    ABOUT YOUR SAVINGS ACCOUNT NUMBER

    Your savings account number has been updated. It now has a prefix of 2200 and a suffix of 1.

    Example: Old savings account number 1234567. New savings account number 220012345671

     

    ABOUT YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT NUMBER

    Your checking account number has not changed (shown at the bottom of your checks). You will need to type in the full 14 digits, if you are using your checking account number to register for Digital Banking.

     

    You can register and log into Digital Banking by clicking on the orange 'Banking Login' button at the top right of this screen and then clicking on register or you can download CFCU’s Digital Banking app on either the  Apple Store  or  Google Play Store.

    Phone Banking

    You no longer have access to CORE's EASY-Tel Phone Banking. You can use CFCU's phone banking to check balances, transfer between accounts, and pay a CFCU Loan from a CFCU checking or Savings account (excluding credit cards).                           

    To sign up for Phone Banking:

      • Call 607-257-8113 or toll free 800-782-9413 and enter your member number. 
      • Then, Use the last four digits of your social security number as a temporary PIN.
      • You will be prompted to create a new PIN that you will use going forward.

        If you have issues accessing Phone Banking, please call our Member Solutions at 607-257-8500 or toll free 800-428-8340 or stop in a branch to request a temporary PIN number.

        CORE's Website

        You no longer have access to CORE's website. CORE's website is now redirected to this page on CFCU's website.

        Other Important Information

        Deposit Account(s)

        Debit Cards

        Scheduled/Automatic Payments (subscriptions) using your debit card number
        If your debit card number is used to pay a monthly subscription (Amazon, Chewy, etc.) or automatic payment (car insurance, gym membership), please update any companies that have your CORE debit card number on file with your new debit card number after you activate your new card. 

        Direct Deposits/Payments (ACH) into/from your checking or savings account(s)
        Your Direct Deposits/Payments will continue automatically. If we are notified of any errors, we will post the transaction and contact you. 

        Courtesy Pay (Overdraft Services) 

        Applicable to checking accounts only, if you want to learn more about this service or opt-in to this service, please refer to pages 18 and 19 of the Disclosure Booklet that you received in the mail.

        For reference:

        • If you currently have CORE’s basic Courtesy Pay product, you have been converted into CFCU’s Courtesy Pay Program for coverage of checks, ACH, and automatic bill payments, provided that you meet the eligibility requirements (see Disclosure Booklet for details).
        • If you previously elected to have CORE pay overdrafts on ATM and debit card transactions, your election lapsed at the time of conversion. To elect for this feature to be turned on, please submit the Form (provided in the Disclosure Booklet) at your earliest convenience.

        Account Numbers

        Your existing account number(s) have changed slightly with the exception of your checking account number(s) which have remained the same. We added a prefix in front of your CORE account number(s) and have also included the CORE sub-account suffix. Listed below are the prefixes and examples for different types of accounts.

        Checking Account(s)
        Your account number(s) have remained the same.

        Member Number
        Your existing CORE Member Number now has a prefix of “2200”.
        Example: prefix 2200 + existing member number 1234567 = new member number 22001234567.

        Share/Member Savings Account(s)
        Your existing CORE Share/Member Savings account number(s) now have a prefix of “2200” and also include the CORE sub-account suffix (as shown on your past CORE statements).
        Example: prefix 2200 + existing share/member savings number 1234567 + CORE sub-account suffix 1 = new account number 220012345671.

        Club Savings Account(s)
        Your existing CORE Club Savings account number(s) now have a prefix of “2202” and also include your sub-account suffix from CORE (as shown on your past CORE statements).
        Example: prefix 2202 + existing club savings account number 1234567 + CORE sub-account suffix 1 = new account number 220212345671.

        Certificate Account(s)
        Your existing CORE Certificate account number(s) now have a prefix of “2201” and also include your sub-account suffix from CORE (as shown on your past CORE statements).
        Example: prefix 2201 + existing certificate number 1234567 + CORE sub-account suffix 1 = new account number 220112345671.

        IRA Account(s)
        Your existing CORE IRA savings account number(s) now have a prefix of “2203” and also include your sub-account suffix from CORE (as shown on your past CORE statements).
        Example: prefix 2203 + existing IRA savings number 1234567 + CORE sub-account suffix 1 = new account number 220312345671.

        Loan Account(s)
        Your existing Loan account number(s) now have a prefix of “2204” and also include your sub-account suffix from CORE (as shown on your past CORE statements).
        Example: prefix 2204 + existing loan account number 1234567 + CORE sub-account suffix 1 = new account number 220412345671.

        You can also view your numbers in CFCU's Digital Banking. Just click on the account you want to view, then click on 'Account Details'.

        Routing Number

        Effective January 30, 2023, CORE’s routing number was changed to CFCU’s routing number 221381540. However, checks with CORE’s routing number will be processed through June 30, 2023.

        Checks

        If you use checks, you should order new checks soon. Each CORE member can order a free set of checks. To order your set of checks, submit a secure message through Digital Banking, call Member Solutions at 607-257-8500 or toll-free 800-428-8340, or stop by a branch.  

        Statements and Electronic Statements (also known as eStatements)

        You will receive your last statement from CORE as of January 27th by mail. Your first statement from CFCU will also be sent by mail and will be for the period of January 28th – January 31st. Even if you elected to receive eStatements, your final statement from CORE and your first statement from CFCU will be mailed.

        If you currently receive or would like to receive your statements electronically instead of by mail, please sign-up for eStatements within Digital Banking even if you were previously registered for eStatements with CORE.

        If you were registered to receive eStatements with CORE, your past statements and other electronic documents (tax statements) are no longer available in your statement history online. If you need a copy of a past statement or other documents, please contact Member Solutions at contactus@mycfcu.com.

          Loan Accounts

          Scheduled/Automatic payments from your CORE Checking to CORE Loans
          If you had scheduled and/or automatic payments from your CORE checking to your CORE loan, those payments will continue automatically.

          Terms and Payments
          Your terms and payment amounts have not changed unless you have a CORE’s Home Equity Line of Credit Choice Loan. For those with this specific loan, you should have received a letter in late December with the updated terms.

            Credit Cards

            Your credit card number(s) and the process to pay your credit card(s) will remain the same at this time. You can continue to pay your credit card(s) by check, through the CORE Credit app, or Credit Card Portal online. You can find the  CORE Credit Card Portal Link here.

            Disclosures and Fees

            You should have received a Disclosure Booklet in the mail in late December which includes disclosure and fee information.

            CORE’s Bill Pay

            CORE Members that currently use CORE’s Bill Pay will be able to access CFCU’s Bill Pay beginning February 1, 2023 through our  CFCU More app. Any payments set-up in CORE’s Bill Pay, will carry over to CFCU’s Bill Pay. 

            * If you don’t currently have CORE’s Bill Pay, this will be available to you in April 2023.

            Apple Pay and Google Pay (GPay)

            As a CFCU member, you now have access to Apple Pay and Google Pay with your CFCU debit card.
